Josh Browne
Josh Browne earned his Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and his Masters from Oakland University in Michigan. I first met Josh at a motorsports meeting of SAE International in Detroit and approached him about an interview. Josh, who was Elliott Sadler's Team Director at the time, had already been thinking about the power of motorsports to motivate kids to study science, math and engineering, so he was willing to let me follow the No. 19 team around for a couple of races. Josh is now Chief Race Engineer at Red Bull Racing, working to get the No. 83 and 84 cars into Victory Lane. The photo is Josh on the No. 19's pit box at the first Atlanta race of 2007.
